Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Ofor is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. Accessible information is central to our mission of open, public education.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These internationally recognised standards help make web content usable for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML structure with clear headings and landmarks, so assistive technologies can navigate the site logically.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful illustrations and descriptive labels for interactive elements.
  • Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator so you can always see where you are.
  • Colour choices intended to provide sufficient contrast between text and background.
  • Responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" setting, so animations are minimised for those who prefer it.
  • A skip link that lets keyboard users jump straight to the main content.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task. We review our site periodically and consider accessibility whenever we add new content or features. We know there is always room to improve.

Documents and resources

We work to make our downloadable guides and materials readable and well-structured. If you need a resource in an alternative format, please contact us and we will do our best to provide one.

Feedback

If you encounter a barrier on our website, or have a suggestion for improving accessibility, we would genuinely like to hear from you. Your feedback helps us make the site better for everyone.

Contact us at info@ofor.info or +1 (604) 555-0182. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within two business days.
